The DBHIDS Finance Unit conducts the financial oversight of the HealthChoices contract and grants accounting for the Offices of Mental Health, Addiction Services, and Intellectual disAbility Services.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provider contracts
• Provider reimbursement
• Preparation of state budgets and invoices for the department’s various grants
• HealthChoices Community Behavioral Health (CBH) fiscal reporting and invoicing
• Preparation of city budgets
• Development and implementation of administrative cost allocations
• Oversight of numerous external departmental audits
• Financial oversight of annual HealthChoices rate determination
• Maintenance of grant account database
• Oversight of HealthChoices reinvestment funding
