Two crisis residences are available to provide services for people who are homeless and suffer from mental illness. Both are located at the Girard Medical Center, 8th Street and Girard Avenue. Important Numbers: The Emergency Evaluation Center has six beds for people who are homeless and mentally-ill. Beds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Contact the City Mental Health Delegate at (215) 685-6440 for information. The Crisis Residence is accessed by hospitals and other behavioral health providers. This facility provides services to consumers transitioning from acute, inpatient psychiatric units who need some additional, structured recovery time.
